I received my bachelor’s degree in communications from Brigham Young University and master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Southern California. I am passionate about trauma-informed care and working with those who have experienced trauma. I am EMDR certified. I have several years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in residential treatment centers. My kind, compassionate, non-judgmental personality has helped me in building strong and trusting connections with clients. I enjoy working with clients of all ages. I take a client-centered and solution-focused approach to therapy. I use Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Multi-systemic Therapy, and Play Therapy. I am a member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). I have contributed both time and resources to NAMI, including teaching classes. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, exercising, learning about and maintaining optimal nutrition, and reading.
